Paragon won the toss and elected to bat against Barbarians and would hold them off for a 42-run win.
Opener Matt Orr got things going with his 42 runs, although he struggled to find a partner with the next four in the order all falling cheaply.
Nathan King retired after notching up 50 and Steve Consadine – batting down at number eight – would be his side’s top scorer retiring with 54.
Ben Gardner contributed a valuable 29 n.o at the bottom of the order on the way to 7/215.
10 Barbarians bowled, wicket takers were; Graham Unicomb 3/26; Phil Rosamond 2/22; and Dan Akers 2/18.
Openers Amit Sutaria (40) and Unicomb (30) began the chase, but the Barbarian batsmen just weren’t adding enough, Anthony Waugh (17), Isaac Palombini (17), Dave Martin (19), and Claudin Palombini (17) the next best to be all out for 173.
Wickets were taken by; Orr 4/12; Greg Reid 3/16; Mitch Keen 1/22; Jamie O’Reilly 1/26; Travis Crouch 1/30.
Home Décor ran down the 130 set by Carpet Court in their clash.
After electing to bat Carpet Court only had 15 on the board before losing Toby Forrest (4) and Cody Lawson (11), George Fletcher fell for a duck with just four more runs added.
Mitchell Sandry’s 53 would be the backbone of the innings with Justin McCarney’s 38 the only other big contribution.
Shaun Lala’s 4/11 came from cleaning up the tail, Terrance Roach took 2/8, Steve McKenzie 2/13; and Dave McKinnon 1/18.
Although it was Home Décor’s tail – Wayne Hargraves (25 n.o) and McKenzie (11 n.o) - that guided them home in the end, with only first drop Matt Nutley’s 39 the only double figures.
Carpet Court’s bowlers took; Adam O’Connell 2/17; Steve Platt 2/19; McCarney 2/3; Mitch Sandry 1/10; Forrest 1/11; Josh Sandry 1/29.
It took three Ori Bulls batsmen just 21 overs to chase down Woolpack’s total of 93.
Woolpack were in trouble early losing Mark Thomas for two with only three runs scored, fellow opener Rodney Cooke only added four, with first drop James Forbes’ 26 and number 11 Josh Javins’ 26 n.o the highest of the innings.
Ori’s bowlers had a field day and their figures reflected that; Eddie Rava 3/4; Oscar Mahon 3/8; Callan Double 1/3; Peter Sibley 1/10; Pierson Sibley 1/15.
Fletcher Sibley (11), Michael Mahon (30 n.o) and Double (33 n.o) reeled in the target with ease.
