At the age of 83 Terence has one of the most diverse collections of music around. He covers all genres including folk, country and pop. His knowledge of music and performing artists is extensive. Terence was born in Melbourne and moved to Coffs Harbour with this wife Beverly in 1982 to operate a business. After his wife died he travelled to England in 1998 and on his return became a member of the new community radio station 2AIR – Coffs Coast Community Radio.
He did his training and was a presenter there until 2004 when he became restless, sold his home, bought a caravan, a 4WD truck, a mobile phone and circumnavigated Australia.
In 2005 he sold up and went to England again but after a couple of months he became nostalgic for Australia’s vast open spaces and headed back to Coffs Harbour for awhile.
In 2007 he bought another 4WD and a larger caravan and headed south. This trip took him through Queensland, Moree, Mildura and Sofala. Terence parked his van in the Rylstone Caravan Park and lived there for four years before moving into a unit.
With his interest in music and previous visits to community radio stations on his trip around Australia, It wasn’t long before he made enquiries at KRR.
It was fortunate for everyone. On Mondays he plays classical music from 6pm to 9pm, Wednesday breakfast from 6am to 9am it’s modern country and bright contemporary music and Thursday mornings from 9am to 12 midday it’s an eclectic mix featuring the latest new releases with plenty of information on the performers thrown in. It’s a very impressive repertoire for someone of his age and generation, and shows a genuine love and appreciation of music that cuts across all ages.
