The tournament also got into the spirit of the month and went pink for the Pink Up Mudgee initiative and a number of the players donning the colour in support.
It was the second year since its re-instatement and, despite its name, the Club Championships were all about participation with a second chance draw given to people unable to make it through the main draw.
Which allowed for more evenly matched teams to face each other in a plate format – through to E Plate – ensuring the whole field had a whole day of tennis.
Sunday saw 24 teams participating in the day, including eight juniors.
And despite an overall wet weekend, the weather did not affect the day with perfect playing conditions.
The Mudgee District Tennis Club Championships return on November 27, the final major event on the calendar with the singles format to be played, Flight Centre Mudgee will once again sponsor the event.
