It was the first match that Bowlers have actually played having forfeited the first round and having the bye in the second.
RSL’s first drop, Cal Ruming, was stoic for his struggling side with the bat top scoring with 69 runs, but unfortunately only Mick Camilleri (35) could also hit double figures as they were all out for 122.
Dave Morrison (1/21) and Brad James (1/33) both bowled out a full 10 overs, Jamie Herbert’s 3/17 finished off the RSL innings and Mitch Mcwhirter took 1/24.
Michael Ford’s 75 n.o was the backbone of the Bowler’s run chase, fellow opener James Morrison’s 45 was the only wicket to fall in reply (caught by Mick Camilleri off the bowling of Chris Hardy) and McWhirter (5 n.o) helped steer them to the win.
It was a tough day for the RSL bowlers with five of them taking a battering, Hardy was the only one to manage a maiden.
Coolah had the bye.
