Nathan Phillips gave a entertaining report on his weekend at the Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) at Myuna Bay. The RYPEN camps are designed to develop the confidence and leadership in young people. Nathan said that he really enjoyed the camp and would recommend it. The Rotary Club of Rylstone Kandos sponsors local young people twice a year to go to RYPEN. Sophie McCormick, Rotary’s International Exchange Student also gave a presentation on her home town and the state of New York where she lives.
A spokesperson said the International Youth Exchange and the Short Term Youth Exchange to New Zealand are a great benefit to our community by widening our understanding and perspective of other countries.
