The Planning and Assessment Commission (PAC) will hold a public hearing into the proposed Wilpinjong Extension Project at the Mudgee Town Hall Theatre Mudgee on Tuesday, November 29 at 10am.

The proposal, currently before the Department of Planning and Environment, seeks to create a new open cut pit to the east of existing operations, extend various existing open cut pits and extend the life of the mine by seven years to 2033.
The project will involve some 800 hectares of open cut extensions, as well as supporting construction activities, including road and electricity transmission line relocations
The hearing will be open to the public and members of the public will be able to address the panel.
