The ultimate goal is back-to-back premierships in the Premier League for the first time ever in Mudgee Dragons history.
The main goal however is put in the best effort across the whole club in order to put them in a position where they can take a shot at the 2017 Group 10 Club Championship.
Taking the reigns for the top grade will be Peter Hickman.
His previous experience coaching the Dragons took them to three grand finals in succession from 2008 to 2010 and winning the 2009 Premiership.
Hickman is a Life Member of the club and comes with a wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding of Rugby League, as a celebrated Dragons player and coach over several decades.
Sebastian Flack - one of the Dragons most dedicated, enthusiastic and popular club members – has been named First Division coach.
Known for his infectious character and enthusiastic manner, combined with a good understanding of the game, will give the Reggies a solid base to build towards a competitive team for 2017.
He’ll be ably assisted by father Errol “Bopper” Flack as manager, whose experience includes many games for the club and the historic 1986 premiership.
The Under 18s will be coached by Jono and Brendan George, also popular and enthusiastic club members over a number of years.
Both possess outstanding playing records with Mudgee having been part of several successful Dragons teams over the years.
Both are dedicated club members who are expected to work hard on achieving success.
The League Tag coach will be announced soon.
First up in 2017 for the Mudgee Dragons will be the second annual Mudgee Nines tournament at Glen Willow on the last weekend in February.
The players are excited, especially after taking out the 2016 comp and have organised a one off playing strip for another tilt at the Darryl ‘Radar’ Meers Memorial Shield.
