Weeks of heavy rain prior to the ride greened up the surrounding countryside but also provided some challenging sections on course.
Water crossings were likely to prove challenging so at the last minute, course marker, Woody Pilley altered the course for the safety of riders and their mounts.
With a storm forecast for the evening of the ride, there was concern that the event might have to be cancelled but thankfully the rain stayed away and the moon came out to provide welcome light for those still on course until just before midnight.
First home in the Heavyweight division was Sue Warren, from Lue, riding Razorback Flash in a time of 6 hours, 4 minutes.
Windeyer resident and ride organiser, Shelley Jones was strong on Shellal Blue coming second in the Middleweight division in a time of 4 hours 41 minutes.
