A viral video of the storm that ripped through the Mudgee region on Wednesday afternoon, has sparked a barrage of support on social media.

The clip – which was a Facebook Live post on the Mudgee Guardian – has now had a reach of nearly one million.
The video clip was in real time from when the storm hit at 4pm, showing the strong wind gusts and sideways rain.
It also showed a tree on Perry Street, Mudgee being ripped from the ground and smashing into a van.
This sparked comments of support from far and wide including TV star Rodger Corser – who stars in Channel Nine TV show Doctor Doctor which was filmed in the Mudgee region.
He tweeted – “Only just catching up with news of this horrific storm… Hope everyone is okay in our home away from home!”
Children's entertainer Anthony Field – the blue Wiggle – also offered his support on Instagram with a simple message – “Be safe”
Member for Dubbo, Troy Grant, congratulated the local community for pulling together during tough times – including the recent fires at Wuuluman.
He tweeted “Proud of the Mudgee spirit – no doubt it will shine again with the storm clean up.”
