Batsmen and bowlers of all skill levels from across the district took part in the Gulgong District Cricket Association’s twentieth seven-a-side cricket tournament was held at Billy Dunn Oval on Sunday, January 22.

There were four grades in the 2017 event - A, B, C, and Social.
Each side has seven players in their team and they bat for six overs.
Every player on the field, except for the wicket-keeper, bowls an over.
The next big local cricket event will be the annual Australia Day Challenge between Mudgee and Gulgong, at Victoria Park, Mudgee, on Thursday.
This year’s home side will go into the match as the last start favourites.
This weekend will see the 2016/17 Gulgong District Cricket Association season resume following a break for the seven-a-side tournament.
On Sunday, January 29, 2017, Gulgong RSL will take on Coolah at Billy Dunn Oval 1.
In the other Round 16 match, Goolma will play Bowlers in Goolma.
