Mr Jarvis spoke to journalists at the scene on Sunday, and said he had lost property and animals.
"I've been watching the smoke, before it came up around the hill," he said as he fled the fire front.
"I was up around the back paddock to see how close it was and I took off because I could see some flames. I came straight onto the main road here and saw all the flames just come over the hill and go mad.
"My house and all my property is totally gone. Three greyhounds, other cats, all my chooks, probably my sheep and cattle."
Warren’s daughter Amy Bell contacted the Mudgee Guardian after seeing the viral Facebook video of her father.
Ms Bell set up the Go Fund Me account, after an outpouring of generosity on-line.
One Facebook user commented – “This is my brother-in-law he is a hardworker and loves ALL his animals I just want to thank all for your support.”
“Does he need clothes, shower, anything, I'm happy to help,” another posted.
“My Father Warren Jarvis has lost everything in the recent NSW fires. His home, all his beloved animals gone,” Ms Bell posted on the Go Fund Me page.
“My dad's animals are his life, they all even have names.
“He is the definition of a true aussie battler who would always help out a mate no matter what was needed.
“Any contribution no matter how small would be a massive help with food, clothing, blankets, clean up costs and to help him get back on his feet.
Ms Bell has a Go Fund Me goal of $5000 – at 11:00am on Monday, the total amount raised was $1160.
