A Mudgee school bus driver has not proceeded with an appeal against the severity of his sentence for leaving two preschoolers on a school bus for six hours.

Grayson Gene Tuck-Lee’s appeal was listed to be mentioned in Dubbo District Court on Thursday.
Tuck-Lee, 49, had pleaded guilty in Mudgee Local Court late last year to leaving a child in a motor vehicle causing emotional distress.
He lodged an appeal against the severity of his sentence after he was fined $1000.
The mother of one of the boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said the experience has left her son with a fear of buses that requires counselling.
The mother said the pre-school had failed to notify her that her son had not shown up to class. It has since changed its policy.
Tuck-Lee did not appear before the court on Thursday, but a letter from him stating he was withdrawing the appeal was read aloud by Judge John North – who granted the application and the appeal was dismissed.
