Art Unlimited has been presented annually by Dunedoo Lions Club since 2008, but in 2017 the club will shift its focus to helping the victims of the fires.
It has launched the Sir Ivan Bushfire Appeal with the promise that “every cent collected goes to the victims quickly, efficiently in their hour of greatest need”.
Spokeswoman for the club Penny Stevens said it believed that the artists, photographers and ceramicists who supported Art Unlimited would appreciate the need for Dunedoo and district residents to “focus on assisting people who have lost so much”.
“It will take many months for infrastructure destroyed to be replaced and volunteer efforts will be concentrated on helping those who have lost homes, livestock, farmland, crops, fencing, machinery and farm buildings,” she said.
Tax-deductible donations can be deposited in the Lions Club of Dunedoo NSW Bushfire Account, BSB 032653, account number 313385.
