The one-day car and motor-bike rally will this year commence from Parklands Resort with the “Show n Shine” and breakfast and travel through Mudgee’s CBD around 10.30am before continuing on a road cruise through the region.
At Bunnamagoo Estate there’ll be a long barbecue lunch with live entertainment, licenced bar along with fun activities for everyone, including Holden V Ford tug-o-war and kids foot races.
Around 2.30pm there’ll be more road cruising before arriving back at Parklands Resort around 4.30pm, for a Charity Auction and live entertainment.
In just under a decade of the event they’ve raised a total of $59,000 for the local branch of Can Assist, as well as supporting numerous other local causes.
Can Assist – Mudgee and Districts Branch is one of 42 branches in NSW forming the Cancer Assistance Network that raise funds to provide financial assistance, emotional and practical support, information, care and accommodation for people in rural NSW affected by cancer.
The local branch started in 2008 and their group of volunteer fundraisers have assisted many local people with oncology related pharmacy items, accommodation during treatment, travel, home aides, and utility expenses in times of financial hardship.
Any registered vehicle can enter Can Cruise for $40 per adult, children 16 and under $10, infants 2 and under free, or $80 for a family ticket for 2 adults, up to 2 children.
All you need to bring is; a sun-hat, a smile, good humour, a spirit of fun and a desire to assist someone from your local community struggling through their cancer journey.
