Held at the Mudgee Golf Club, the dinner and ceremony is set to begin at 6.30pm, with former Australian Wallaby fullback Marty Roebuck opening the night with a speaking introduction.
Outside of the formalities of the dinner, there are eleven different categories for members of the Mudgee sporting community to secure awards in.
These categories are: Individual U13s, U18s, Seniors and Masters, Team nominations for U13s, U18s Seniors and Masters, as well as Contribution to Sport, Services to Sporting Bodies, and Sports Event of the Year.
There are many deserving athletes, and some stand-out for their 2017 achievements, including the Mudgee Dragons players that have been nominated.
Hamish Bryant and Jack Afamasaga both received nods for their hand in the campaign, while former Blowes Clothing Cup player of the season Sam Schmidt is also up for the seniors.
Local athletes that have made a name for themselves around the region or overseas, like Nick Kastelein Jnr (triathlon) and Jae Marskell (bowls) find themselves in the mix as well.
25 youngsters have been nominated for the u13s, including Flynn English who impressively has been nominated both for his athletics and his rugby talents.
33 u18s are also in the pot, with players from rugby, swimming, cricket and tennis all up for the yearly awards.
