Esme Martins presented the 2017 Rylstone Senior Citizen of the Year Award to Rylstone Resident, Robin Johnston. Robin has been a long-term member of the Combined Pensioners and Superannuants Association, holding the secretary position for several years and is currently treasurer.

She dedicates a lot of her time as President for the Rylstone CWA, as well as the Rylstone Hospital Auxiliary, volunteering at community events of behalf of the both organisations and raising vital funds for the Hospital and cancer research.
For 40 years, Robin has been the Uniting Church Sunday school teacher and a valued member of the church auxiliary, furthermore, contributing 40 years to the Rylstone-Kandos Show society. The devotion Robin has shown to our community is exceptional. Thank you for your dedication and loyalty to our community, Robin.
