The Birriwa Cup is the consolation match between the teams not in the finals, but it’s still silverware and both Centennial and Coolah set out to bring it home.
Winning the toss Coolah batted first and quickly smashed out 230 runs off their 40 overs, with Craig Schneider’s 88 leading the way, and Steve Gilbert’s 57 rounding out the high-scores.
Centennial's bowlers tried to slow the fast run count, with Gaurav Sharma taking 2/22 off just four overs.
Centennial came close to running down the high count off Tim Papworth’s 45 and Steve Haney’s 44, falling just four runs short.
Schneider was the best of the bowlers with eight overs paying a hat-trick dividend, and Kyle Baldwin took 1/27.
