Burke also contested the Oceania titles at the Toowoomba event last weekend, and although he started the race behind and spent much of the race traversing the rocky and difficult track, the young Mudgee biker finished up 6th in the race.
The finish is impressive after the race revealed that even New Zealand competitors had travelled to battle for the Oceanic contest alongside Burke’s usual rivals.
Burke now turns his focus to the Nationals in Canungra, and although the weather may be rough for riders, Mudgee’s biking talent will be unperturbed by the predicted poor conditions.
