Alayna Gleeson, Events Coordinator says that the Program requires events to demonstrate the value they provide to the community.
“The program is designed to provide funding assistance to community events which benefit the local economy and attract visitors to the region.
“We are encouraging event organisers to apply now for funding of up to $2,500 for events taking place from July to December this year. Events taking place in 2018 will have the opportunity to apply for funding in September,” Mrs Gleeson said.
Events that meet the eligibility criteria may apply for funding. All guidelines and criteria are available on the Council website along with an application form.
