The night was free to all fire affected people, made possible only by generous donations of food and funds by many Mudgee businesses and organisations who also donated quality items for Lucky Door prizes, which were much appreciated by the winners. A special mention of the donation of beautiful handmade patchwork quilts which had the recipients in awe. One quilt and a locally made handcrafted bag with sweets were raffled with proceeds going to the Community Centre to cover costs.
The night rocked on with Jessica Games, Bob Stone and friends giving freely of their talents.
It was a party that kept on giving, as all excess food was utilised by Blaze Aid who are temporarily camped at Cassilis while they are rebuilding fences. The Sir Ivan fire burnt within a few hundred metres of the hall and Turill village, there was much gratitude shown to the locals who put in a mass effort to protect their communities.
