The Rotary Club of Mudgee recently made donations to the three Mudgee primary schools; Mudgee Public, St Matthews Catholic and Cudgegong Valley, for the purchase of books to support the engagement of parents/carers in their children’s learning.

Mudgee Public School principal Alan Kerr said “parents play a critical role in providing learning opportunities at home and in linking what children learn at school with what happens in a wider context. By participating in learning interactions and activities outside the school, parents become important models in children’s learning.”
Cudgegong Valley principal Andrea Lester commented, “the value of home reading for early literacy learners cannot be over-stated.”
