It feels like the competition has hardly been out of the news since Forbes’ stunning win over Dubbo CYMS in the unforgettable 2016 grand final.
Grounds around our region are expected to be packed this weekend with Dubbo Macquarie meeting the Nyngan Tigers on Saturday while on Sunday the defending premiers host Wellington, Parkes travels to Narromine and Westside takes on CYMS in an opening round derby.
There’s been a huge amount of change at every club and hopes are high in each and every set of supporters.
The new-look Group 11 board is pumped for the season with operations manger Paul Loxley believing any side can win it in 2017.
And while first grade is the main focus, much is expected of the League Tag could which enthralled fans last season with each side looking to impress in round one.
