It was the history, local connections and attention to detail that won Blowes the prize.
The more recent Country jersey is on loan from Warwick Colley.
But the majority of the display belongs to Steve McWhirter from his time in the Country side in 1979, 1984, 1985, and 1986.
In addition to his jerseys and tracksuit there’s also a blazer and even a bag he received in 1979 (pictured).
And the City jersey was swapped for McWhirter’s after one of the games.
Blowes’ Peter Segal said, “a lot of people have mentioned the window because of the history involved”.
