TV scouts spent the day in the region on Wednesday looking for extras to fill the background of the shoots – which will again feature the Mudgee region streets and buildings as the small fictional town of Whyhope.
Extras casting agent Jane Dawkins they were looking for a very specific look, describing it as “classic country”.
“Different to the city look, we didn’t want suits and corporate wear, but more your upmarket country – like property owners and horse breeders,” she said.
“We also needed some specific looks, like golfers and jockeys, for scenes at the golf club and the race course.
Twenty lucky students from Mudgee Public School will also get a role in the Logie nominated show.
“We’ve contacted the principle, who will pick the kids to participate for the shoot at the school,” Mrs Dawkins said.
Filming starts in June and the second season is expected to be on TV by August.
