A group of 10 Mudgee workmates have won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.

The private syndicate won jackpot draw 10159, drawn on Monday, May 15, but NSW Lotteries was unable to contact the winners and confirm the happy news until this week.

Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official, the syndicate leader explained the workplace syndicate had been running for several decades and the $100,000 prize was its first major win.

She said the work colleagues had been shocked and overjoyed at the windfall.

“Heaven only knows when the syndicate first started. There’s 10 of us at the moment and sometimes we play Lotto and sometimes we play Lucky Lotteries,” she said.

“This is our first big win! It was about time!”

“Everyone has different plans for what they’re going to do with their share. I’ve heard all different suggestions. Some have some home renovations planned, while others are planning an overseas holiday.

“One lady told me the win couldn’t have come at a better time for her and her family.”

The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry with 10 random numbers from Intersport Mudgee.

The win comes less than a month after a group of two women in Mudgee won $1 million dollars.

Intersport Mudgee staff member Casandra Endacott said the outlet was excited the winners had been united with their prize.

“We found out last week that we’d sold the winning ticket so we’ve been asking everyone coming in whether they’d checked their ticket,” she said.

“When the winners came in they didn’t know they’d won, so they got a great surprise!

“Congratulations to the winners! We hope they enjoy their windfall!”
