This weekend’s match of the round has the charging Manildra Rhinos travelling to Grenfell to face the Goannas, a side coming off a shock loss to Eugowra.
The Rhinos trumped Canowindra last weekend, and will face another test in the Goannas at home, where they’re much harder to topple.
Grenfell is out for revenge after a round one loss to Manildra, while the Rhinos just keep winning. The Rhinos have been excellent all season, while the Goannas have been hot and cold.
Cargo, coming off a loss to Trundle, return home to host the Golden Eagles.
Eugowra must win to keep its Woodbridge Cup finals hopes alive, but the Blue Heelers are a massive mountain to climb when facing them in Cargo.
If the Heelers eradicate the errors that hurt them so badly last week, that will go a long way to downing the improving Eagles.
On Saturday, Canowindra hosts Condobolin. Like Eugowra, the Tigers must win to stay in touch with the top five. The new-look Rams are travelling well and will be looking to back up a 40-30 win from round one.
The final match of this weekend’s round has Burrangong hosting Peak Hill, the Roosters are favoured to take down the last-placed Bears. Trundle has the bye.
In youth league Trundle plays Manildra and Canowindra plays Condobolin. In league tag Burrangong plays Peak Hill, Cargo hosts Eugowra, Grenfell plays Manildra and Canowindra hosts Condobolin.
