Although the team finished outside of a podium finish, their placing was behind the shooting powerhouses of the United States, Great Britain and France.
Christian attended the event as part of the Super Veterans team in the Australian squad, earning his spot in the squad through a series of Australian shoots.
The first of these was the Warnambool Grand Prix, before Christian placed second in the Nationals in Queensland, which secured him a spot in the team.
Day one of the event, held in Budapest, saw Christian shoot 22 and 16 for the record, which placed him in 22nd heading into the first evening break.
A strong first day for the Australian team saw them in second place behind the French team, just three targets off the first place position.
The second day saw Australia slip into third place on the standings, and Ross himself dropped to 33rd for the day after shooting 15 and 19.
Great Britain and the United States continued to climb the rankings as the days went on, with Christian shooting 17 and 20 to move himself up in the individual rankings, but Australia overall dropped into fourth place.
They entered the final day with Italy, Germany and Hungary all close behind, and had to secure a strong shoot to lock the fourth place finish.
Christian shot 18 and 22 to jump up to the 23rd spot on the Super Veterans ladder, while Australia confirmed their fourth place – just outside France’s finish.
