A day after charging a 41-year-old Lake Macquarie man with assault, police revealed on Thursday they had also charged a 21-year-old woman, who was on the receiving end of an alleged punch to the head.
The woman was charged on a string of offences including malicious damage, being armed with intent to cause indictable offence, intentially throw object at vehicle to risk safety, part of body outside window – passenger, and passenger seat belt not fasted.
She was granted conditional bail and will front Wyong Local Court next month.
The investigation began after a video of the incident circulated online.
It shows two vehicles stopped at the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Elizabeth Bay Drive, Lake Munmorah, before a man and a woman become involved in an argument.
