What to do with unused foreign currency when you return home after an overseas trip?
The Country Women’s Association and the Mudgee Guardian have the answer.
Diana Anderson has recently returned from a holiday in Sri Lanka and Pamela Matheson from a holiday in the Greek Islands.
Both are members of Mudgee Evening CWA and they donated their left over unused and unwanted currency into the Coins of Friendship collection box on the front counter of the Mudgee Guardian office.
This money is regularly forwarded to CWA NSW Head Office where it is exchanged for local currency and donated to charity.
It is inevitable to be left with a few coins or even a substantial amount of notes that you kept 'just in case' and didn't get time to spend before boarding your flight, or if you were lucky enough, your cruise ship.
On your return trip
The Mudgee Guardian has a tin on the front counter of the Perry Street office in where you can donate this foreign currency which will assist the CWA in donating to charity.
Don't clutter your drawers at home with unusable and unwanted currency, drop by the Mudgee Guardian office and add it to The CWA Coins of Friendship tin.
