Putting aside time in their busy touring schedule, Brothers3 are aiming to open a new business on Mortimer Street, The Brothers3 Music Academy.
“We mainly tour our shows on the weekend so we have time during the week to teach music,” Makirum, the youngest of the three stars, said of the band’s goals.
“We already run a successful music school in Sydney and are excited to be branching out in Mudgee.”
The boys all have a wealth of music and performance experience to share for the locals that supported them through their meteoric rise to fame.
“The community here supported us back while we were on TV and now we feel like it is time to give back. It will be good to be home, and there are so many talented kids here,” Makirum added.
“We feel like we can help them realise their musical dreams.”
Shardyn has a Bachelor of Music, Tayzin has a Diploma of Radio and Media and Makirum has a Diploma of Music.
Their mother, Alita, who has been involved in much of their progress, also has a Masters of Music.
The band’s aims would be to teach young Mudgee students a number of instruments and skills, including guitar, piano, ukulele, violin, clarinet and brass.
They will also aim to teach singing and performing for crowds.
The school will be open alongside the local school Term 4, on Monday October 9.
