Man taken to Mudgee Hospital after Guntawang Road crash

A 20-year-old man has been taken to Mudgee Hospital after sustaining superficial head injuries in a vehicle crash on Guntawang Road.

The road was closed in both directions after 12pm today due to the crash, but was reopened around 12.30pm after the crash was cleared.

According to the Ambulance Service of NSW, the 20-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle, but was eventually released and was transported to Mudgee Hospital in a stable condition. 

He reportedly sustained superficial injuries to his head during the crash.

Traffic between Mudgee and Goolma were being diverted along the Castlereagh Highway via Gulgong.

The crash was cleared around 30 minutes later, and the highway has now been reopened with local diversions lifted.
