Residents are being reminded to be vigilant about dodgy door to door workmen in the Mudgee region.
Mudgee Local Area Command are investigating after two men dressed in workman attire have accessed the rear yard of a home in Macquarie Drive, Mudgee.
Between 11am and Midday on Wednesday, August 9 it’s alleged that the men spoke with a child at the location and stated they were required to access the yard to check the sewer line. At the time the men were in possession of a metal detector and a tool with antennae attached.
The men did not display any identification and their vehicle only described as a small white truck displaying no company insignia.
The first male is described as being 5’4” tall, tanned complexion, approximately 25 old, with neat short medium brown coloured hair and stubble. He was wearing high visibility work wear and navy coloured pants. He is believed to wither have an accent or was poorly spoken.
The second male is described as being aged in his 30’s to 40’s, dark brown coloured hair, also wearing high visibility work wear and navy pants.
