Some of the region's best and brightest prospects headed up to Pride Park in Orange on Saturday, for the opening week of the Central West Junior Rugby Union semi-finals.

The games, played on Pride Park's main field, featured seven different clubs across CWJRU's three age groups - under 13s, under 15s and under 17s.
The Orange City Lions, Mudgee Wombats, Dubbo Kangaroos, Dubbo Rhinos, Forbes Platypi, Narromine Gorillas and Bathurst Bulldogs were in action, with both the minor and major semi-finals being contested.
The winners of the major semi-finals progressed to the grand finals, which will be played at Orange’s Endeavour Oval on Saturday, September 9.
The losers of the major semi-finals will face the winners of the minor semi-finals at Bathurst next weekend.
