The line-up and program for The 28th Huntington Estate Music Festival has just been announced.
It comprises a thrilling mix of dazzling international talent exclusive to Huntington. The very best Australian musicians, both established and up and coming, will be performing some “Great Classics” of chamber music.
Artistic Director Carl Vine says: "although we will have the usual smattering of unusual and modern works, the 2017 festival will feature a much larger proportion than usual of great classics and popular favourites. There will be surprises as well, but this will be the Year Of The Great Classic!"

“The Music Festival is unique, internationally renowned, and attracts people from all around Australia and overseas,” said Huntington Estate owner Nicky Stevens.
“Mudgee, music, food and wine combine to make magic. Come and experience it for yourself.”
A strong sense of place underpins the event. While the quality is world-class, the setting and atmosphere is rustic, relaxed and unpretentious.
Native Honey Eaters sing their accompaniment from outside the hall, the stage is made of wine crates and pallets, the striking back drop and acoustic magic is provided by a wall of barrels holding fine red wine as it ages (we’re certain the good musical vibrations help). The food is locally produced and sourced, and some good old-fashioned country hospitality provides the finishing touch.
Concerts are held late mornings (followed by lunch) and evenings (followed by dinner).
