Volunteer firefighters from the NSW Rural Fire Service Cudgegong District and firefighters from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service were called to a bush fire burning east of Wollar Village on Monday afternoon.
While there was no immediate threat to property the difficulty was that the fire was burning in inaccessible terrain.

- Permits Remain Suspended
After receiving some much needed rainfall over the past fortnight the NSW RFS Cudgegong District has received a number of enquiries relating to obtaining permits to burn off.
All landholders are advised permits will remain suspended until further notice. For more information regarding permits, contact the Cudgegong Fire Control Centre on 6372 4434.
