A 37-year-old man was placed on an 18-month good behaviour bond for two counts of breaching an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) by threatening the person in need of protection.

Jason Leslie Carpenter of Mortimer Street, Mudgee, was charged on August 29, 2017, following an argument with the victim.
He followed them into their house yelling and slamming the door, before clenching his fists and threatening to “burn the house down” and “put you six feet under” if they called the police.
Magistrate Bruce Williams warned Carpetner, “if you keep breaching these orders the court is going to have to ask ‘what can we do to ram home to you the seriousness of these offences?’”

A woman charged with her second drug driving offence within the the last five years, was convicted in her absence when she failed to appear in court.
Leann Kay Katon, aged 46, of Gladstone Street, Mudgee, was fined $800 and disqualified for 12 months.
Police stopped Katon in order to conduct random breath and drug tests in Inglis Street, Mudgee, on the morning of April 16, 2017.
The breath test was negative for alcohol, however the oral fluid test was positive for methamphetamine.
She was taken to the Mudgee Police Station where a second positive result was recorded which was confirmed by laboratory testing.
Katon told police she’d used “ice” the previous day.

A 26-year-old woman was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond for an intimidation offence.
Amber Mogg of Cox Street, Mudgee, confronted the victim at their workplace on the afternoon of August 23, 2017, over an ongoing dispute.
She said that if they didn’t stop “I will have someone slit your throat”.
Mogg pleaded guilty to ‘Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm’.
