The contest was announced in the 2018 NRL draw released on Thursday.
The round 11 game is one of two premiership matches to be played in Mudgee in 2018 and 2019 as part of a two-year partnership between Mid-Western Regional Council and the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Mayor Des Kennedy said Council has been working closely with the club and the NRL to secure games at the 10,000 capacity stadium.
“We’re excited to welcome the Canberra Raiders and their fans to play against the St George Illawarra Dragons in our beautiful region and world-class facility,” Cr Kennedy said.
“The healthy rivalry between these two teams will undoubtedly make for great viewing.”
The Round 11 Clash will kick off from 2pm.
"Following on from the announcement of the Charity Shield to be played in Mudgee in February, we are excited to also be bringing an NRL game against the Raiders to Glen Willow Stadium,” Dragons Chief Operating Officer Michael McDonald said.
“The Dragons and Raiders have enjoyed a great rivalry over the years and this will no doubt be another hard fought contest, which we envisage will be played out in front of a passionate full house in Mudgee.”
Canberra Raiders Media Manager Ben Pollack said the Raiders were very excited to be heading to Mudgee in 2018.
“We look forward to playing the Dragons at a top class venue like Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium,” Mr Pollack said.
“We’ve long seen ourselves as a regional club and we enjoy heading to regional centers and taking NRL matches back to the bush.”
