The Brumbies have all but finalised their squad for the 2018 season, with the last three pieces of the puzzle expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks for the start of pre-season training.

But after securing off-field stability with a major sponsorship deal on Wednesday, the club has already turned one eye to the future and re-signing off-contract players.

The Brumbies hope a three-year deal worth almost $3 million will ease the financial pressure on the club after losing more than $3 million since 2014.

They are expected to be one of the only Australian franchises to turn a profit this year and a long-term partnership with Israel company Plus 500 ends any uncertainty about their financial viability.

The next challenge will be fending off overseas bids for key players who are off contract at the end of next year, including Speight and Lealiifano.

Speight is in Japan with the Wallabies while Lealiifano is getting back to his best form on a short-term stint in Ireland after recovering from his battle with leukaemia.

It is hoped the lure of playing at the World Cup in 2019 will convince the duo to recommit to the Brumbies and Australian rugby.

Brumbies officials are expected to meet in November to start discussing the club's roster beyond the 2018 season as new coach Dan McKellar takes the reins for the first time.

McKellar is putting the finishing touches on his squad and the last three roster spots will be filled before the players start their pre-season campaign.

The Brumbies will be bolstered by the return of David Pocock, who is set to restart Brumbies training in January when he ends his 12-month sabbatical.

Lealiifano will also be back on the field after playing just one game last season, while the club has also recruited Isi Naisarani from the Western Force and back-rower Lachlan McCaffrey.

???Brumbies chief executive Michael Thomson hopes dropping ticket prices will help lure fans back to Canberra Stadium in a rejigged Super Rugby competition next year.

Australian rugby endured a horror year on and off the field last season, but the Brumbies have managed to buck the trend by recording a modest profit.

The Brumbies will announce a profit of $14,000 at their annual general meeting in December in a massive turnaround from recent years.

"The response has been really positive so far," Thomson said.

"We'll turn a small profit of about $14,000 this year. I think we're the only Super Rugby team in Australia to do so.

"That's something we can build on, growing the economics around the club and reinvesting in community and high-performance rugby.

"Now we know what Super Rugby looks like, once we get a new [chief executive] at the ARU that will give more stability."

The deal with Plus 500 is the first time the Brumbies have managed to secure a multi-year major sponsorship deal in recent years.

Plus 500, who also sponsor Atletico Madrid, and Australian chief executive Sean Murphy said the company had no hesitation recommitting to the Brumbies despite Australian rugby's dramas.

"I'm a rugby man through and through. It will be interesting to see how things progress next year," Murphy said.

"We're licenced to operate in South Africa and New Zealand as well ... from a company point of view we thought it was a good opportunity to continue the relationship.

"As a rugby man, for me it was a no-brainer."
