Mark Bennie was bowled early after notching up just seven runs for the Tigers but was redeemed by Andrew Best (24) and Brian O’Reilly (25) who worked their way to respectable totals.

The Tigers’ batsmen saved their best for last as Seton Croake (34) and Adam Callaghan (42) finished with flurries, giving their team a total that would be hard to chase down.

Tim Suttor (1-63) had a hard time finding a rhythm with the ball in hand as he was hit for a handful of boundaries in a tough, ten-over performance.

Ash Barratt (2-8) had more success than his teammate as he kept Paragon quiet for a couple of overs.

Lawson Park laid an egg with the bat in the hand in the second innings as their first three batsmen produced just 10 runs, making victory almost impossible.

They staged a good fightback thanks to strong digs from Michael Dowell (46) and Rod Moore (39) but the damage was done when Ash Barrett got out for a duck as he joined Tom Dowell and Tim Suttor on the list of shame.

In Mudgee’s second tier competition, Home Decor defeated Woolpack by 50 runs on the back of an excellent performance from Shaun Laharu (4-17).

Not only did Laharu bowl well, he was 29 not out in the opening innings as he helped Home Decor make 176 before the bat changed hands.

At the end of the first inning, Hargraves and McLean got out for back to back ducks but the damage had been done.

When it was Woolpack’s turn to bat, Shaun Lumsden (45) stepped to the crease and produced an opening knock that put his side in a good position.

Woolpack was a good chance at 2-78 before Napier and McGrath got out for ducks.

Williamson (16) and Singer (20) picked things back up for their side, only to be let down by the end of the order as Carev (2) and Forbes (0) were sent packing.
