Despite dealing with the omission of the Blue Mountains’ squad, Mitchell Cricket Council will run a three-team, under 19s competition in 2018, set to start on Sunday at 10am.

Mudgee will host Bathurst in the first of three rounds, before travelling to Orange on January 21.
Mitchell Cricket Council president Mark Frecklington touted Orange as the team to beat but knows anything can happen.
“They’re usually dominant [Orange],” he said.
“But the Blue Mountains won it last year so that goes to show anything can happen."
The grand final will take place on Australia day.
