Chief operating officer, Bill Vatovec, said, “KEPCO is delighted to announce a number of worthy recipients from our Community Grants including Rylstone Rural Fire Service, Gulgong Show, Kandos Public School P&C, Mudgee Show Society and the Kandos RSL”.
“In this round we have contributed more than $26,000 in funding to local organisations, schools, events, clubs and charities.
“We are also pleased to announce that KEPCO have offered $10,000 to the Kids and Carers Support Group Kandos / Rylstone to aid the completion of the community house.”
Mr Vatovec added that local groups with worthy projects should nominate for this year’s fund.
“I encourage local community groups who need financial assistance for charitable projects and community initiatives to submit an application to Round 1 of the Community Investment Project for 2018, which will be accepting applications from February 2, 2018,” he said.
“To date we have allocated more than $400,000 in funding to local community organisations and – if the project is approved – we will provide a further $9 million through the Voluntary Planning Agreement with Mid-Western Regional Council to fund local infrastructure and services.”
