In a statement, Council explained, “this will reduce the strain on Council’s water treatment plants.”
In order to help, residents are requested to restrict the use of water during the day and use fixed hoses and sprinklers between the hours of 8.00pm and 8.00am only.
“Council thanks residents for their co-operation – which will alleviate the need to impose water restrictions across the region”, the statement read.
