The RFS has advised, “It is hot, dry and the potential for fire activity is extremely high but at this stage there are no fires currently burning within the Cudgegong/ Mid Western area.”
“There is smoke drifting across our region from a number of large fires burning around the state,” the local RFS explained on Facebook.
“Today in the Mid-Western Regional Council area (Central Ranges Fire Weather area) we are experiencing our fourth day in a row of a Severe Fire Danger Rating and Total Fire Ban conditions.”
Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and to call Triple Zero (000) if an unattended fire is sighted.
