The annual event is picking up momentum not just in the region but across the country as Wally Lewis, Laurie Daley and George Gregan are pencilled in to swing the club on February 2.
Tahir Bilgic was initially part of the group before being replaced by comedian James Smith, whose stand-up shows have starred on Rove Live and The Footy Show.
But that’s not all… Mudgee Pro Shop’s Peter Mayson recently added eight new names to the list, making it the most prolific line-up of celebrity golf stars to date.
St George rugby league great Craig Young will bring Shaun Timmins to the Mid-Western region, giving footy fans an early look at some Dragons alumni before the Charity Shield on February 24.
John Gibbs, Michael Hagan, Ray Price and John Muggleton round out the stellar list of rugby league representatives that have been recruited by Peter Sterling, who will be in attendance as always.
Legendary 80s jockey Malcolm Johnson will take part in the classic too, as well as Hockeyroos star Joanne Banning.
The Moolarben Celebrity Golf Classic will get underway from 11am on Friday and all are welcome to visit the Mudgee Golf Club to watch their favourite stars compete with and against each other.
The dinner, however, is booked out as hundreds of onlookers will listen to speeches given by each celebrity throughout the evening.
