Gulgong News | New face for Gulgong primary

Gulgong primary school’s new principal

Gulgong Primary School has welcomed the new principal, David Lewis. David was the relieving principal at Nemingha School in Tamworth before taking up this promotion.

David grew up in Narrabri and his wife Tess is from Dunedoo, so it was inevitable that he would look to teach in the country.

David and Tess have two children Baden, ten years, and Ava, seven years, both of whom go to the Primary School.

I asked David what is his main focus as a teacher he said “learning”.

I also asked about the Paparazzi Club that has become so popular in the town and he said it will keep going under the guidance of Alan Walker who will be staying involved.

They have entries in this year’s Royal Easter Show. I am sure I speak for the town when I wish David the best of luck in his new positon and I am sure the children of Gulgong are in very good hands.
