Finalising preparation for the 80th Show, new events, children’s educational tour and monopoly game, the Ice Bucket Dumping and the five a side tug ‘o’ war, were discussed.

The Tug ‘o’ War, winner takes all ($100) sounds like fun.

The Ice Bucket Dump involves paying $20 for someone to participate.

The money goes to the Macquarie University’s Motor Neurone Disease Clinic and Research Centre.

The Show will be February 24.

Alicia is available by appointment Monday and Saturday and also does aged care hairdressing.

Her Heritage name lives up to the lovely, friendly, atmosphere in the building.

Louee Street, Rylstone has a new shop. The ‘Almost Everything Emporium’ was formed by a collective of local artists and culinary crafters.

Open weekends 10am-3pm the shop has ceramics, art works, painting, local olive oils, felting, jams, relishes, jewellery, books, clothing, handmade soaps and pedal powered smoothies.

In the future the shop will be open more often and have ‘Special Displays’ of art works.

Enthusiasm is the key to this delightful group of ladies.

The Rylstone Kandos Volunteer Rescue Squad was formed in 1975.

Covering an area of 4000 square kilometres the squad does primary rescue and assists other services.

Current legislation requires all vehicles on a fire ground, must be diesel powered.

The VRA needs to get a new vehicle to comply and the Charity Shop is helping the VRA fundraising efforts with a cheque of $3000, with more money to follow.

The VRA has been generously supported by the community and needs to raise $50000 to reach their goal.
