PCYC received $21,453 to renovate their bathroom facilities and the Mudgee District Tennis Club received $20,000 which will enable the recommission of one of their currently disused courts.
Member for Dubbo Troy Grant was at the courts and the PYCY on Tuesday to present the the cheques, and to comment on the impact they will have.
“I was pleased to visit Mudgee’s PCYC and District Tennis club today to announce this funding, both are worthy local community groups supporting sport and activity in the region,” Grant said.
“The NSW Government has committed funds to new community infrastructure projects that will enhance much needed local facilities.
According to Grant supporting and funding grassroots community groups directly benefits our communities and delivers vital new and improved infrastructure.
“I congratulate all those involved in making their successful applications for funding and I am pleased that this money will make a positive difference in the community.” said Mr Grant.
Community Building Partnerships is an annual funding program and will open again for applications around the mid-year.
