Last Wednesday, there was also the extra sense of excitement with a visit of His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC and Mrs Linda Hurley.
RDA volunteer Lorraine Stewart described the Vice Regal couple as ‘down to earth’.
“They were not only very keen to watch the riders and horses but were also extremely keen to meet clients, carers and volunteers,” she said.
“Some special thanks goes to mayor Des Kennedy, Lloyd Coleman and Kieren Bennett from Wilpinjong Peabody. The day would not have run as smoothly without you. Thank you also to Alan Walker for taking so many wonderful photos.”
