Member for Dubbo Troy Grant recently announced Mid-Western Regional Council had secured $1.722 million in grant funding through the program that was created to deliver local infrastructure projects.
To ensure funding is allocated to appropriate projects Council is inviting the community to list their top five projects via an online survey.
This is the community’s chance to tell us which projects they most want completed.
- Des Kennedy
Mayor Des Kennedy said the listed projects are closely aligned to the funding guidelines and had previously been identified by the community during the Towards 2030 Community Engagement activity and budgeting process.
“This is the community’s chance to tell us which projects they most want completed,” Cr Kennedy said.
“That could be more shade at your local pool, walking paths, mountain bike trails, more public toilets or sporting facility improvements.
“The more people who complete the survey the better informed Council will be when it comes time put projects forward for funding.”
Community groups are able to nominate additional projects for consideration and must complete a separate application form providing relevant project details for Council to consider.
The project nomination form is available on Council’s website. Surveys can be completed online via Council’s website and Facebook page or by following the link: surveymonkey.com/r/SCCF2018
Survey closes on March 31.
