The medical centre now also has a brand new Philips Ultrasound machine (now with 4D Babyscans) and a new digital X-Ray system.
Healthcare Imaging Services state manager for Regional NSW, Matt Ayers, recently visited the site to inspect the machines.
“The investment into regional Australia is a clear demonstration of our ongoing commitment to provide affordable, accessible healthcare to the greater central west community,” Mr Ayers said.
During the visit, Mudgee’s local GPs had an educational evening, with talks presented by Radiologist, Dr Alan Sacks, and Philips representatives, Edward Soo and Nick Kapsimallis. Philips sponsored the event and gave the doctors a tour of the new equipment at Mudgee Radiology.
“Those present were impressed to learn that the new CT scanner is the same model as the one located at the Emergency department in St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney,” Mr Ayers said.
“The upgraded equipment will improve the diagnostic capabilities of the region’s medical community and we are very proud to offer this quality service.”
All Medicare eligible X-Ray and CT exams performed at Mudgee Radiology from Specialists and General Practitioners will be bulk billed.
